1′ Ovipositor length no more than 0.3x gaster length; marginal vein punctiform; fore coxa yellow ……………………………………………..… sp. 1

Sp. 1: Stanislaus (UCFC)

Described Nearctic species and distribution

marilandicus Girault, 1917: USA (CA, IN, MD, NH, WI)
pallipes (Provancher, 1887): CAN (ON)

Remarks
The marginal vein of C. pallipes appears slightly shorter than sp. 1. UCF has 4 Cerchysius specimens (3 females) from a malaise trap at the same location. Two of the females have the notum bronzy, the scape length about 4x the width, and the legs all yellow except for a dark metacoxa, and hind tibia somewhat darkened posteriorly. The third female has the notum green, the scape length about 3.5x the width, and the legs all yellow (including metacoxa and hind tibia). I consider the two forms conspecific.
