ENTOMOLOGY SOCIETIES
Pacific Coast Entomological Society – Launched in 1901 and open to naturalists, educators, professionals, amateurs, students, and other arthropod enthusiasts, PCES is the Bay Area’s preeminent entomology organization. PCES meets several times per year rotating between UC Berkeley, California Academy of Sciences, and California Department of Food and Agriculture. The annual membership fee of $25 includes a subscription to the society’s quarterly journal Pan-Pacific Entomologist.
Entomology Collections Network – The largest society in North America dedicated to the preservation and maintenance of arthropod collections. News, discussions, and information about the annual meeting are distributed via the ECN email listserv.
