Aranea - Spiders

While there are no formally listed arachnids in California, a number are in some trouble. The short length of this list cannot be taken as an indication that California's spiders are not facing the same habitat destruction as the insects. It is rather an indication that the spiders of California are in need of much further study from a conservation perspective.
